Are paddlewheels still standard equipment, even on GPS-equipped boats?

My guess is that it looks at GPS puck first and uses the paddle wheel only as a secondary.

Due to confidentiality agreements I'm limited in how much I can say on this topic, but what I can safely share is that with a Murphy helm and a ZeroOff GPS puck, KoolAid is correct - the GPS is primary and the paddlewheel is used as a secondary. Sometimes Murphy changes the helm display to reflect which speed sensor they're relying on at the moment, too.
