How to buy items for the boat...without the significant other knowing?

Any suggestions on how to purchase new surf boards, ballast bags, and new pump without the significant other knowing. Also an amp, WS420, and a windblock. And a new cover, nauticlaugic GPS, bow filler cushion, and Gator Step for the transom.

Is there a way to make the cost of items listed above to reflect 75% off?

    I'm Asking for a friend.

So you just need someone willing to create a fake invoice after the original one is paid

        For your Friend,

I would suggest ordering said items with delivery to a local UPS store. Then, when or if they notice, you found it on craigslist or facebook for a steal. Even better, "i traded that old [fill in the blank] + $50 for it." "It was an end of the season closeout." "I decided to try a scratch lottery ticket and won!" Not that I've ever used those.....just sayin'.

I feel sad for people that have to hide purchases from their spouse.

I worked for a remote control helicopter shop for a few years. About 25% of the guys that ordered from us had credit cards that were billed to their work address. Some would ship-to their buddy's house, or ask for no invoice in the box. I always told them they should just upgrade the significant other.

                  me too man.

But I got a solution that might work for y'all, it might be the lamest answer tho, create a budget. Thats what we did. An example is she gets 150/month for clothes. you get 50/month for clothes, but 100/month for the boat. You hide nothing and still get what you want!

The other option is get her really addicted to surfing and she'll beg you to go out and buy more ballast and new boards.

I make my fun purchases on a mileage rewards card and let her pick where we are going.

We have the same issue with each others search stuff showing up online...

They (girls) have SHOE PORN...We (guys) have BOAT PORN
We don't get upset when they look at shoes, but when we look at other boats or equipment...look out!!!

I don't have to worry about it on this front either. My wife is actually the other way around. I get home to the "I bought two surfboards today!"

And the "there's a sale at the boat shop, what are you buying me this weekend?" Guess that's how it is when the wife grew up boating. Can only imagine how it will be when my daughter gets a little older...
