I have the same decals on my 2015. I have been thinking about removing some (like the swoop around the RZ on the front, and some of mess on the back). I think these boats look too plain if everything is removed. Please repost if you make any changes.Originally posted by MvM View PostI think mine would benefit from the dated decals. Any chance of color fade? 2015 rz2

Some adhesive remover as well. Usually some adhesive residue stays on the outlines of the graphics and you can see the outline of where the graphics were after you peel themOriginally posted by BlackoutATX View PostThe best way to do this is just with a heat gun and your own fingernails? I think I'm taking the plunge.

3M makes a great aerosol adhesive remover for residue.. they make a plastic razor blade that comes in pretty handy for scraping without causing damage.. there is an adhesive remover wheel for a drill or die grinder that works really well.. and there’s a product called Tub O Towels that works pretty good to get the last little bits of adhesive off.. you may have to do some cutting and buffing if there is any sun fade...

I def don’t hate how it looks now. But I think the “splash” look is starting to look a little dated either way. We are also throwing the idea around if putting some BABz graphics on it. This would clear the way.Originally posted by dukesofhazzard View PostBlackout I think your boat looks good with those graphics. I think as long as u don’t have the tribal graphics. That was a bad era for all the manufacturersBABz - babzusa.com

I use the 3m aerosol as well...a lot. Pretty good stuff. Buy it by the case from our local auto body and paint supply shop. It also comes in a liquid squirt bottle. If you ever have to peel interior sea dek/gatorstep, or swim pads it's the way to go(the squirt top bottle that is). I use an old KeelGaurd applicator tool that I sharpened a bit to scrape the adhesive residue. Though I only use the plastic in areas I'm going to put something back over. If I want it finished and not needing a buff I just use cotton rags and let the adhesive remover soak in for a bit and it wipes away.Originally posted by Zackdogg View Post3M makes a great aerosol adhesive remover for residue.. they make a plastic razor blade that comes in pretty handy for scraping without causing damage.. there is an adhesive remover wheel for a drill or die grinder that works really well.. and there’s a product called Tub O Towels that works pretty good to get the last little bits of adhesive off.. you may have to do some cutting and buffing if there is any sun fade...
