Took it to my local Marina today (Carolina Marina) to have the hours scanned, after about 45 minutes of trying every cable they had, we called Mercruiser with the serial number and Mercruiser said that our particular engine did not store hours on the ECM, has anyone else heard this?

NO- I have had hours pulled from the ECM on my boat ( years ago)

I havent, but if thats what Merc said then maybe thats the case. Or they were plugging into wrong plug on the engine. Were they able to see other data on Diacom?? Were they scanning with the handheld version or laptop??
