I've seen some pics of the new SE and the new helm on the SL. The new SE has so much freeboard from the pics I saw. Helms look like SC stole a page from MC for 19.Originally posted by dakota4ce View PostSupra will have a new dash for 2019. I have the current dash on a 16 SE, and albeit not my initial favorite, it’s highly functional. The six buttons and central location are very smart.
But, in the world of touchscreens, buttons will be gone in 19 models.
My personal opinion is there is no better than the SL right now. That thing works so well. I lust for one 🤣.

The 2:1 in my friends 440 is damn good. I have been impressed. Also very very quiet this year.Originally posted by bsreid View PostRzx has more storage than you know what to do with. Wave is stellar with a little extra weight but I would not consider getting another without the 575.

I have yet to get up to our high mountain lakes, but so far at 4200' the 440 and 2:1 is good enough to be glad I didn't spend extra on the 575. We never go 30 MPH, so I can't see needing to go 40 MPH either. So far the 440 has pulled all the weight I've wanted it to pull at surf speeds. If a new boat is ever in our future, I'd like to test a 460 or didn't I hear something about a 480 as well?Originally posted by bsreid View PostRzx has more storage than you know what to do with. Im no sales guy so I never memorize the numbers, but one day we did some math. The upgrade from the 400 to a 440 make sense but the jump to a 460 makes the price/ft lb of torque gained ridiculous. Again, I dont remember the #s for sure, but I feel like it came out to around $500/ftlb of torque gained to go with the 460. Not to mention the added upkeep. The 460 also requires the same 15w-50 full synth oil that the supercharged does vs the much cheaper 5w-30 that the 360, 400, and 400 run, so you are paying the same maintenance tax that a supercharged owner would without the same power. Also committed to nothing but 91 octane with the supercharged and I believe the 460 is the same. Just some stuff to chew on.Originally posted by UNSTUCK View PostI have yet to get up to our high mountain lakes, but so far at 4200' the 440 and 2:1 is good enough to be glad I didn't spend extra on the 575. I went through this last summer. I landed on the RZX3.. I was looking for a 23 ft surf boat with a good service department on my lake. Tested the Mastercraft X23, Centurion RI23, RZX2, and the 2018 Momba surf boat. Out of the box the X23 surfed the best. The centurion had water leaking into the bilge from the swim platform bolts and surf wave was okay. Settled on the RZX3 with the PNP and 440 motor. Tige just swapped props from the 17" to a 16.5. I have tons of storage even with the PNP, the surf wave is legit, fit and finish outstanding. Really was the best boat for the price. I have had a few little things break, but dealer has fixed everything the next day. I was going to buy the RZX2 but wife and I went to the factory and tested the RZX3 over the winter. She loved it. My buddy bought the X23, and the RZX3 rides drier and smoother in rough water, but sits higher and my son who rides behind both says our wave is twice that of the X23.

X23 with 7-800# lead is legit. Have to be objective here! And I am not a MC fanboy in the least.Originally posted by Monesty View PostI went through this last summer. I landed on the RZX3.. A dialed RZX3 is certainly good, but doesn’t 2x anything, let alone an x23.
They are however too damned expensive.

Yeah, he clearly has done nothing to help his boat. They surf very well when operated correctly—and I don’t even like them. They’re every bit a surf boat as an RZX3.Originally posted by Monesty View PostI just have the PNP in mine, and compared to my buddies stock X23 my wave is twice his. Now that might have to do with the fact that they only ride the X23's factory surf setting. I think the fit and Finnish and the seats are a much nicer on the Tige'.
Just don’t want misleading info out there you know! The truth police. They’re both great boats.
How does one measure a wave to be 2x another wave? [emoji6]

The X23 I rode had about 400# of lead in it and the goofy wave was non existent. The dealer even told me the goofy side is very difficult to dial in. That is why they learned how to ride switch. I am looking forward to the 2019 X24. He said that wave is mind blowing on both sides.Originally posted by dakota4ce View PostYeah, he clearly has done nothing to help his boat.
