thanks for the input everyone, My original thoughts pretty much followed along with the group. I'm going to let the Axis go down the road and keep looking for something else. I didn't know about the hull construction info, and after a little more looking into, the consensus is right on about cheap hulls with alot of flex. I'm reading more and more everyday about all the companies out there. I really kind of would like to stay with Tige. I've liked some of the Mastercrafts but I don't think my pocket book would allow that. However the Sangers are really starting to grow on me.

Sanger is not bad. Good surf wave when set up correctly. Aesthetically and with some of the electronics not the best (some personal preferencebthere), but that's the trade off with a more budget friendly brand (though i really believe new Tiges are flipping the script there with their R series).
