These traxxas boats are awesome. I’ve got a snapon one and it’s insane, just wait until you flip it on the middle of the lake.

Oh man, hadn't thought of that. Perhaps a fishing pole with some sort of grappling hook? Worse case I can break out the kayak. What batteries do you run with yours? I've read I need at least a 5000 mAh 40C ...any thoughts?

I’m always around the boat or some paddle boards so don’t really have to worry about it. I just use the stock 3 cell 5000 traxxas lipos. If I used it more I would definitely upgrade to a larger capacity battery.

I've also read that the shaft needs marine grease after every battery depletion. It doesn't look like that hard of a process but it seems excessive. Is that how often you grease it?

I’ve been bad at it lately. I just got it towards the end of summer and only greased a few times.
