All in all, I think it cost me roughly $2500 to get the boat into the country, including transport. Was still worth it by a mile with exchange rate and the deal I got.

That seems a bit steep... Did that include US sales tax or just getting the boat across the border? How much was the boat you bought?

Not too worried about a speed controller. We ride the Columbia river, the water current varies between 2mph and 5mph. Makes anything GPS based super frustrating. Target RPM + a thumbs-up/Thumbs-downs has worked for more years than I have been alive.

It also has paddlewheel. I️ can’t imagine surfing without speed control. It changes the wave so much.

That included transport. Not steep at all. I️ had it hauled 1500 miles.

Boat was 51k for roughly a 63-64k usd boat.
