    2006 tige 24ve 5.7 liter audible alarm

Own 2006 24ve with marine power 5.7 L 340 HP engine with Faria components. I get an auidible alarm after putting some torque on engine from boarding/ surfing. Do not get audible alarm when just cruising. Temp and pressure gauges look good. I have heard about inexpensive pressure switch that could go bad. Any help/ suggestions. All fluids look good. Has been acting up ever since starting up this spring. Boat is winterized on slip during winter time. If it is a pressure switch? Where is it located. Thanks much for any help

I have this exact boat- experienced a intermittent alarm every 10 seconds after reaching 2800-3000 rpm. It would reset if I turned the engine off, but would alarm again once I gave it gas.

I replaced the knock sensor and this fixed the problem. It's on the port side of the engine on the bottom, and is a threaded plug that you pull when draining the engine. Apparently it's only made to be connected/disconnected a few times before it goes out. I replaced the sensor Memorial Day weekend- a quic fix and in 30 minutes I had it replaced.

Did you order the knock sensor on the Internet. My google search showed a couple of websites selling a knock sensor for a 5.7 Liter marine power engine with the part number MP462084
