Ignition housing spinning when trying to start boat

Curious to know if any Tige owners have experienced the ignition housing spinning when attempting to start the boat? Engine never starts since the housing is essentially spinning when trying to start. This has happened twice with us, one with a loaner boat and once with our new Tige boat (both new 2017 RZX2). Dealer is saying this is not a common problem but it's odd that this has happened twice to us with two different boats. From what we understand, the nut behind the panel is coming loose...Thanks!

Are you talking about the key switch?

I have seen lockwashers on ignition switches, maybe yours is missing?

Anyway: Apply a touch of blue Loctite, retighten, resume your life.

Backing ring is probably loose. Grab housing from backside and screw off face. Turn backing ring in a turn or two then reinstall. Don't reef on plastic outer ring or you can crack it and will need a new switch
