07 and 08 had the same basic small display. Mostly engine data and lake/air temp readings, but nothing really controlled or actuated through it. 09 still had mechanical rocker switches as the 07 and 08 did. Wasnt until the Tige Tough release where the switches went away and all the actuation was done digitally through the TT.

The firmware on my 2009 24Ve uses the color LCD and ellipical shaped touchpad to set and adjust cruise control, store/assign/select alphanumeric names to rider presets, and I believe (though I don't use these features) you can set a couple of other things like minimum depth alarms. It also has a real time clock that you can set, but it is volatile - it loses the setting when the battery switch is turned off.Originally posted by chpthril View Post07 and 08 had the same basic small display. It is not a touchscreen, just a display. All user input is via the three-button elliptical touchpad.
It feels like a sort of first foray into a digital dash, with a few features implemented but not the comprehensive digital dashes of 2010+. But it definitely does allow some things to be set/stored/recalled.
