Just some interesting information and something to put things in perspective... The following are the Lake Mead water levels between January 1 and February 17 over the last 6 years according to http://mead.uslakes.info/level.asp:
2012 - Up .9
2013 - Up 2.0
2014 - Up 1.8
2015 - Up 1.2
2016 - Up 3.3
2017 - Up 7.25
Who knows, we might be able to launch on concrete this year!

It's amazing how much the lake has changed with the rising water levels. Not sure what Temple looks like but I imagine it will be significantly better than last year. As for launching on concrete, you know a few of us rednecks with big 4x4 trucks can help you out so you don't have to get that fancy SUV stuck in the sand!

LOL - I had help launching and recovering last year, thanks to Thegerman618. I just hope he doesn't start charging me for it!Originally posted by Bad05 View Postyou know a few of us rednecks with big 4x4 trucks can help you out so you don't have to get that fancy SUV stuck in the sand!

Just in case no one noticed, Thegerman618 has been updating the attendees above in Post #65. We are also waiting on a response from a potential "International" guest . In the meantime... I was wondering, can we possibly get as many boats as last year?

Looks like mead has hit its peak for the year. Historically, this is the fullest it will be all year. It is going to be interesting to see if we get any runoff bump come May and June. Snowpack is 150% of average currently for the basin.
For the snowpack nerds like me, here is a recent update: https://www.cbrfc.noaa.gov/wsup/pub2...on/current.pdfLast edited by boonecragun; 03-08-2017, 03:17 PM.

I am going to do a trip this year to Temple mid season, and do some scouting Boone I will give you a heads up a few weeks in advance maybe we can link up. I want to go see for myself what conditions are and if there really is a noticeable difference in the water level. My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Having gone to Powell where the changes can be as much as 40 feet in a year, it is amazing how much it seems the same. You notice it when you start looking at specific landmarks, but overall, the lake is probably just going to look the same. In this case, the ramp will be what you notice right away, but otherwise, I suspect you will feel a bit underwhelmed by the difference.Originally posted by Thegerman618 View PostI am going to do a trip this year to Temple mid season, and do some scouting Boone I will give you a heads up a few weeks in advance maybe we can link up. I think extensive research of the lake changes before the reunion is a very good idea.Be excellent to one another.
