The drive from Lake Forest to Obexers is not too bad. Should not be a problem pulling your boat. It is only two lanes but the twisty and narrow stuff is after Obexers espeically as you get closer to Emerald Bay. Traffic on the West shore can get pretty bad later in the day especially going into Tahoe City so just take your time.

There is road construction going on during the weekdays. They stop on the weekends. The road itself is no problem for towing. With billions of dollars in boats on that lake, they had better have it set up for trailering.

If you're using Obexer's make sure you check out the marina in google maps (or whatever) so you can see where you need to pull down. It is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. If you need ice, ask the attendant. There is an ice machine in the shack. It's supposed to be for members but if you ask nice, I'd bet they'll let you load up. Just act like you know.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

The Lake Forest ramp looks like your best bet. I mean it's right there and only $15.
