I know this has been talked about along with all sorts of other DIY solutions, however its now available and I'm curious on your thoughts. I personally hate the price for what it is and im not that big on putting Velcro all over my boat. But if it can clean up my wake, allow me to run even ballast and make switching sides take only seconds, it may be worth the $600 price tag. Thoughts?

If you would like to build one along the lines of the Ronix all you would need is a block of closed cell foam and some heavy duty velcro tape. I could see the velcro as possibly being the downfall of this design in the long run. However, it seems most of the force would actually push the block into the hull so longevity may not be an issue. Time will tell. The Ronix design is wonderful in its simplicity... easy to apply to many hull shapes with no modifications while the gate type requires a more custom fit to the hull profile. Either way, the delayed convergence idea works very well and I would recommend it to anyone.
