Parts Guru's (Tige.Lee, Chp, etc?!)

Alright parts gurus...I keep seeing a bunch of different boats with the same plastic piece and I am crossing my fingers I can track one down....Does ANYONE know where I can get the plastic dash piece that the rocker switches are in on this dash? This pic is from the 2003 22v for sale, I have a 21v, I've seen the piece on a bunch of different Tige's and I'm desperately trying to find one for my boat

I'm not one of the gurus... But that one may be hard to find. If a dealer can't get it for you, I would email the customer service link on the tige webpage and include a picture like the one above. I know some of that stuff they don't stock, but will make to order... At least that's what they told me about the plastic blower vent covers on the rear of a 97 pre2100.. Past that, you could probly fab one up yourself with not too much work. Find yourself a piece of plastic big enough to cover your hole, cut it to the shape you want, mark and drill all your holes and round the edges a bit... Paint it silver and your in business

That's what I did when I retrofitted my first ballast system into our 2009 24Ve. I used 1/8th inch acrylic (similar to plexiglas), shaped it to match the existing panel, and painted the reverse surface. You wouldn't know it wasn't factory without looking very closely.

Things like acrylic and plexiglas can be shaped with heat, too. I have a big industrial heat gun (known in the UK as a "flameless torch" ) but if you don't want to invest in something like that you can get similar temperatures from inexpensive heat guns from the likes of Harbor Freight. Just take your time, heating and shaping the material slowly.
