Boat Cover Repair Kit?

What do y'all use to repair a rip/hole in your boat cover? Do they sell some kind of a kit that you like more than others? I have about a 6 inch rip in my cover that is near the Velcro around the tower area. Thanks in advance!

I am tempted to reply "The kit consists of a wife and a sewing machine" but I worry about the repercussions.

Also, the above kit can end up being really expensive in the long run.

If you have not already figured this out.. take to an Upholstery shop. Any decent shop can fix this in under 30 min. Beyond simple.

2000 20ci. Get a Speedy Stitcher for your tool box. Works great for canvas type material. Do not have to remove cover from boat. M&M

wow.. I hope your joking... not only is that just bad.. but beyond bad. I guess color matching the thread to your cover color is not that important... I guess I am just a snob when it comes to my boat and related items. I want the best fix/out come. not just some fix.

i got an old (1941) singer 15-91 on craigslist for $100. took my cover in to an upholstery shop before that and it was $80. since then the $100 investment has more than paid for itself. and the upholstery shop didn't even do that good of a job. my repairs are still holding strong. just buy a sewing machine and take the ridicule with a grain of salt.
