Exactly what Ewok said. Empty every storage locker, every compartment, remove everything that didn't ship with the boat. Hold it next to the dock, get out (zero passengers including no driver), and THEN look at the swim platform to see if it's level.

I might be able to assist here, my guess is when you plane the boat out it list to starboard as you mentioned. I was with D&P Powell on their second trip on their new Z1 we idled around a bit in the harbor no issues. Went to plane the boat out and it had a noticeable list, and as I am typing this I realize now that EWOK you were on this trip.
and suggested to adjust the taps down 2-3 and sure enough boat squatted down and level out perfectly.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

That's why I asked those questions. If the TAPS plate was all the way down, TAPS 0-1, then it plows the bow down and the boat has a tendency to list starboard due to the torque of the engine (transmitted through the prop). Tige boats require some adjustment of the TAPS plate underway to properly trim out the hull. To use the the TAPS plate effectively, set it all the way down (0-1) to get on plane. Once up on plane and at cruising speed, slowly increase the TAPS setting, which raises the bow, until the bow starts to bounce up and down (porpoise). When the porpoiseing begins, slowly lower the TAPS setting (lower the bow) until the porpoising stops. That is now your optimum running attitude for your current weight distribution, speed and sea condition. If any of those 3 variables change, you'll probably going to have to adjust the TAPS plate again. I'm always adjusting mine and making corrections for sea conditions. It's not a set it and forget it type of control.Originally posted by Thegerman618 View PostI might be able to assist here, my guess is when you plane the boat out it list to starboard as you mentioned.
