Side to Side switching?

Love all of this don't get me wrong I'm just wondering why now that putting "Lenco" style trim tabs on a wake specific boat makes the value of them 4x higher than everything else! I remember putting trim tabs on my stepfathers 26 ft boat and paid about $600 bucks for the system! That was 15 yrs ago for a Lenco setup. Time to start playing the lottery I guess but for now still loving my 08 RZ2.

All boats have been going up in price about 5%-7% annually. Have you seen the number of $100K pontoons on the market now? Its not just the tow boat market by any means. More accessories and features do drive the cost up, but so does plain old demand and material costs. Boat market has recovered very well since 08.

Since there will be no more avx or convex vx, I wonder if fresh air exhaust will be a possibility with the taps 3. Maybe won't have to spend as much on the stereo to boom over exhaust

Who said there will be no more avx? As far as I know the avx is still offered for those that want it.

The new '16 (RZX or whatever it is) with TAPS 3 was at the EWT this weekend. I saw it in action but unfortunately didn't get to ride it...

The AVX is still an available option. I spoke to the guys at Perfoance Marine over the weekend (dropping off my 22v for repair). That said I find it hard to believe tige would support two surf systems. I imagine AVX being phased out at some point in the future. Maybe when taps 4 comes out [emoji57]

WELL THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, OUTBOARD TRIM TABS - I SAID YEARS AGO THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE FOR SURFING ON THIS FORUM AND SOME MADE SLY COMMENTS TO MY MEMORY, I WISH I COULD FIND MY POST. I scanned through pretty quick, trying to get caught up on my lunch break as I just saw the release in my feed on FB. I will try to run a search when I have more time. I would love to find it and revisit all the comments!
I guess I should've patented my idea.

My buddy has a new Supra with their Swell System and his surf wake is ridiculous but he also added additional ballast.

I was planning on retro fitting some outboard trim tabs on my Z1 to see how it would've worked but scared to drill holes. Now, I may rethink the idea for a winter project.

I bought trim tabs 7 years ago to put on my centurion, but I chickened out and never did it. I surf a malibu 247 and a g23 both with surf systems. The waves suck compared to mine. They are neat ideas and fun to switch, but for the best wave I still think listing is the way to go.

The supra swell system is different, on surf setting it digs into the wave to create the swell. I would like to try it, I like the pictures and the videos of the wave.

The boat in the video that Josh Kerr is riding is a 2016 Z3 with TAPS 3. The AVX is definitely still an option and not abandoned at all. Would I love to see one device do both? Of course, but don't read into that, I am not implying anything.
