Get the DJI Mavic Pro. It's awesome. Not waterproof but who cares.

It tracks OK but tends to lose the subject with any quick movement across the screen. The good news is that this is still a very immature technology. In 5-7 yrs the tech will be awesome. That said, the Mavic is awesome. Portable, stable, great pics/vids and easy to fly.

Waterproof Drone.... hells yes!

Best Buy is clearing out the 3DR Solo Drones. For $300 you can get the drone, gimbal, extra battery and extra props. There is the same bundle for $350 but adds the back pack which is what I bought and would recommend. The 3DR Solo does follow based on your phones GPS haven't tested it much but it worked well with me walking in my driveway did a nice orbit around me too. I picked one of these up instead. Good deal if you already have a GoPro. It supports Hero 3 and Hero 4 but for true compatibility you need a Hero 3+ black or a Hero 4. My Hero 3 black works but I can control the camera through the app so I have to start recording before take off.

Not as advanced as the newest DJI but it is good enough for me to get by until the prices come down. Water proof would have been really nice for the boat hopefully someone else will make something similar to the lily.
