Anyone a vet or have a vet in the family?

Sorry Matt, I know this is in the wrong spot, but need max exposure and time is not on my side.

Anyone out there a vet or have a vet in the family that would mind offering some insight? Looking for a 3rd opinion and more info on what seems to be a rare feline illness. Waiting to schedule a 2nd opinion with specialist.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Cats are just like little people, aren't they?

(It is an inside doctor's joke). I am still confident that my sister's vet misdiagnosed her dog and accidentally did the right thing. But I am also the guy that gave my dog some ibuprofen and that may have been what gave him the ulcer that caused his demise. Either that or the roadkill he ate. BTW, don't give your dog ibuprofen.

Good luck with what's bothering the feline, I hope you get some reassurance quickly.
    Be excellent to one another.

My father is a vet in Australia. I assume that cats are the same in both USA and Oz.

Looking at a possible case of Lung Digit syndrome. elevated breathing and Xrays show spot in lung, toes reflect the outward symptom, yet blood work shows healthy cat. 9 year old cat im not ready to give up on. We though it was something else, til the extra showed the spot. Things fell into place, until the blood work came back normal.

Hey Mike, what about UNC? Do they have a Vet school there? I remember when I was a kid and the vet gave us a weird diagnosis for a cat, my Dad contacted Ohio State University and talked to some of their professors/Dr's to help him figure it out and there was no charge.

NC State has a vet school, but its 3+ hours away. Already getting a referral to a cancer specialist that close, just wondering if anyone else has seen this in a feline.
