I know there has been some discussion of people not receiving their owner's manual for the Clarion XMD3 head unit and I found a great link so I figured I would post it. Maybe it should be placed in the "Downloads" section if allowed. Here is the link:http://www.prodigit.net/clarionDB/ma...00/XMD3-EU.pdf

No problem. My dealer gave me one but it had been used by one of their techs and a bunch of pages got wet and basically dissolved. I couldn't believe that Clarion did not have it on their site. It seems like a bunch of people also did not even receive one with their boat so I figured it would be helpful.

Thanks for the link. I was expecting it to be so much more usefulOriginally posted by dingleberry View Post
Just got the boat and only the front 2 speakers work. Browsing through other threads seeing similar issues from people. Tried the LPF setting, amp has a flashing green light on it. Everything appears to be wired correctly, maybe the RCA out's are bad?
I've got 4 other speakers in the boat and only a 2 channel amp? Are the two pairs wired in parallel?

You should have a solid green light more then likely, not a flashing. What amp is it (make and model)? It is possible that the 2 bow speakers are wired to the head-unit and the 4 main cabin are wired to the amp. Also could be the 2 bow speakers are on 1 chnl and the 4 main cabins are on the other.....who knows?Originally posted by strohlde View PostThanks for the link. If you fade front to back, back to front, anything change? More info about the amp will help us to diagnose the flashing light.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

it's a clarion APX200.2M - It's not a constant blink, it flashes on every 3 or 4 seconds, but it is green. I'm assuming the two in the bow are wired directly off the HU. Fade to rear I've got nothing. I ran the RCAs into a radio I've got as an AUX in and that works...so the RCA's seem alright. So maybe the amp is just shot.

Without looking through that amps manual, a flashing light probably indicates it's in protect-mode. This could be a result of low battery voltage, shorted out speaker, pinched speaker wire or internal issue in the amp.Originally posted by strohlde View Postit's a clarion APX200.2M - It's not a constant blink, it flashes on every 3 or 4 seconds, but it is green.
