The only one I can think of is the Merc 3.0 4-cyl. In all my years, i do not recall ever seeing a 3.0 in a car. But, IIRC, it was a close cousin to the old 2.5 cast iron, which was a car engine. Id be willing to bet that nearly every GM based marine block used in the last 20 years in consumer trailer and small cruiser boats, was a car/truck block first. So no reason no to believe that Ford cant put together a solid marine engine thats based off tha Ford truck block. If not, it wont be because it was a truck engine first.
