There will be a picklefork model for 2007.
Its hull will be the same as the 22vé.
The nose on the current 22vé will remain as it is.
    There will be "bling."

    Thank you and goodnight.

        Larger Bimini

I want a larger Bimini top option. One that extends 6 inches further out and three feet further back. What I have on my 05 22V is just too short. I would also like side panels on the top that could be snapped on to shield the sun.

I also want a working gas guage that provides some indication of how much fuel is left. The consumption information is available from the engine computer and this could easily calculate how much fuel is left in the tank. No more floats in the tank that really do not work.

When I showed the boat to the owner of the dealership, he quickly apologized and detailed the boat.

You would think the dealer would want the boat look like a million $ when you pick it up.
I have to disagree to an extent. I do agree that the dealer certainly should detail EVERY boat before delivering to a customer.
However, quality and cleanliness controls within the factory would definitely cut down on the clean up time. I don't think it is too much to ask not to have someone leaving razor blades laying around in my brand new boat (I found four in mine-two metal and two red plastic ones).
I spent a couple hours sucking up everything I COULD see/find, but what about what I COULDN'T find?
If the guys building these boats have any sort of pride and/or accountability in their work, they would not leave stuff laying in the bottom of a new boat they just built.

I didnt think it was a big deal until I really thought about it, and I have to agree with you. How's it going to look for Tigé's PR when someones 3 year old is crawling around in the storage compartment and dices their little hands on a razorblade that one of the builders left in? How about an interior screw?

Simple answer- use magnetic screwdrivers and slow down the spindle rate on them. This will result in less stripped screwheads and less of them dropped in the hull.

As for the razor blades- if these are used to cut the carpeting, use box cutters. When the tip gets dull, snap off that section and dont throw it in the boat!

Or better yet... cut out the carpet sections outside the boat and use precut sections. Assuming that isnt already done, it'll help the consistency of quality, and eliminate the need for blades in the boat.

Honestly, I'd like to see them do the same thing to the bow of the 22i that they did with the 22vé. Its actually quite deeper than the 22v and a bit more roomy. Also, the convex-V hull is more pronounced. I almost up and bought a vé the other day, but had to refrain... too many other things to pay for first! must... wait... for... '07... must... wait... for... '07!!!

Oh, and guys... since you've been upping the capacity on these boats and even though they're heavier than others, we need more factory ballast!!!

Aw, c'mon, we all know that ballast is for wusses

Seriously, what about some kind of horizontal fin-like device similar to a the elevators on a submarine, except placed at a strategic part of the hull that would allow you to make the hull ride deeper without the weight. That's one neat thing about Malibu's wedge, of course, everything else about it is dorked up because of its placement at the rear of the boat. I'd still rather have TAPS than a wedge, but what if you could have both?

Oh yeah, think about some kind of built-in FAE system. Larry Mann's onto something. Think about it, more tunes, less exhaust noise and fumes. I'd be happy to host anyone from Tige who hasn't witnessed how much of a difference this makes...beers are on me!

If they pointed the exhaust down, through the bottom of the hull, behind the prop, they'd get the same effect as FAE.

It'd be interesting to mount a hydrofoil to the TAPS plate.

                            BUT...

putting two plates, one on each side, you could counter for an imbalanced boat. i.e. when you've got people on one side and cruising, or when towing with an odd number of people on board. For example, if the wake is washy on one side, put the TAPS plate (or trim tab, whichever you want to call it) up on that side - with the other side down.

The other way of approaching this is to put one big plate in the center, split down the middle with "wings" going out to each side. Actuate each side independently and you can get the same effect.

I think it would be cool to make a taps system (like you said) that can account for imbalance. However, instead of putting it into a switch, put it on some sort of a joystick or 3d manipulation device (think yoke on a plane). It would have to be something that anyone could pick up, but instead of having "side to side" and "up and down" adjustment, just make it all one system...

If it was on either side of where the taps is now, wouldn't it screw up the wake?
