ASR Who's bought one?

It could be the best wakeboard boat out there but so is the G and the G throws a Killer surf wake.. So why would a person buy a ASR over a G? I can tell you I wont buy the ASR if they cant get it to surf as well as the G I will just buy a G23.

And if Tige set out to have the best wakeboard only boat they are crazy.. The G boat does both sirs

Even the new star surfs pretty well. Just saying....

We're all amateurs here so really, none of our opinions matter! Even though the ASR was meant for wakeboarding, I am still excited to see what Wake9 can do with it for surfing. I still think it will produce a more than capable wave when setup properly, it just might take some time getting the weighting correct. Heck, people didn't discover just how good the RZ2 was for several years. I've had mine for 6 1/2 years now and still tweak and refine it.

For those looking for Wakeboard I brought a Ronix team Rider with me and he said the Wakeboard wake was Killer! He also said the boat handled amazing. And as for a pro riders opinion cant believe anything they say.. Any time you ask them they say Its good lol. Unless you can show me some where on any board they give you anything other on any boat.

I have a really small unit ! That's why I had to buy a big boat !

I'm not one to start **** Wicked, and you do provide allot of info that I have used/appreciated in the past but sometimes you come off like an *******. I suppose we all do.

I don't want to turn this into yellowbullet lol. I apologize and if we can cross paths in the future I'll buy the beer.

Someone needs to help me understand something. I have ordered my 3rd Tige now and have owned just about every major brand(and a few odd balls) over my lifetime. Whenever something at all slightly negative is said towards Tige on here or other boards, people lose their minds. People call posters stupid, resort to personally attacks and more because someone has an opinion that isn't all rosy and sugar coated towards the brand they prefer. I don't get why Tige owners seem to be the worst of any at taking/ seeing some negative comments or constructive criticism towards the brand. Maybe someone can explain to me why Tige owners as a group(doesn't include all) are so sensitive?? Because I don't get it. You aren't sponsored or paid by Tige, so I don't understand.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy my Tige or I wouldn't own one(or have just ordered my third). But they are not perfect and there are things I don't like and some practices I don't agree with. I feel that in my area they are the best value for my dollar and I really like my dealer. But there are other brands that are as good, IMO. But I don't see the problem with someone posting something they don't like or agree with on this forum. Isn't that what its for? Or did I miss the message where it says we can only beat the war drum for Tige on here? I guess I don't get it.

I think it's like the apple computer mentality before the iPod. Small group of owners who believe their chosen product is better and can't believe others don't agree (especially because Macs were/are better)

I thinks its how its said sometimes, not what is said. But on the flip side, if you hang out on wakeworld or other sites, you see what happens to anyone that says anything positive about Tige.

I was not bashing Tige just stating what we found from our Demo. =) hurts some feelings not sure why but it does. Even dealers say the pricing on the boat is just too much

I hear that alot =) its just me tho like it or hate it lol.. I speak my mind always. And i give all the information I come up with free to others. Im just like all of you I want the best wakeboard and wake surf boat i can get for the least amount of money lol..

I think it is how it is stated. Wicked is ruffling a lot of feathers probably not because of what he said, but because he has been very loud and direct about it.

I also think that because this is a Tige site, negative comments should be tempered and not so strongly worded. We are all here because Tige has a special spot in our hearts.

In the other thread that got nuked, someone challenged to state in specifics why one specific brand was better than Tige and why they should cost more. I unloaded what I thought were specific reasons and the thread got nuked right after that. I don't know if I got fruit thrown at me or not, or if something that happened later got the thread nuked.

Wicked, you don't have to sugarcoat your complaints, but there is also no reason to rub lemon and salt in a wound you try to open. I think folks here are mostly open minded, and willing to discuss how the brand can improve.

Its what I do.. If you dont make a LOUD statement some might just let it past. I think Tige listens very well to what we say. Look at the window changes after everyone said they where cheesy. They happy button and ballast with pressure sensors vs timers. If your not loud you wont be herd or understand how serious you are on it. I want the ASR to be the Baddest Boat out there and I want it in my Garage.

So by telling them they need to get the surf wave fixed and how much that means from a price point of the competition the G... If you want to price with the G it better do what the G can.. The ASR does have a lot nice interior but most people want the boat to function and do it all. So like I said if they get the surf wave as good as the RZ2 or Z3 this boat will in fact be the best Boat on the water Period.. And Best on the water BY FAR..

So in short here... IF the ASR gets to RZ2 or Z3 wakesurf quality YES Tige Will Flatt out have THE nicest Best Performing Boat Around Period.. And this is BY a LONG SHOT. =) now lets hope something comes from all the feed back they have gotten

So does the ASR have pressure sensors in the ballast system like the G boat? Thats good to know if so.
