Well after receiving our 2014 rz2 and spendn the last few weekends at the lake surfing on a good wave I re-read all the ballast posts on here and got to thinking about the brackets and it turns out I have the wrong ones on my boat I guess you could say I'm a bit disappointed, I thought when the last time all this was discussed the prob was taking care off no big deal though I called my dealer n new ones will be here mon and installed cant wait to hit the water next weeknd

WOW! That blows my mind. After all the problems with the brackets they are still sending new boats out with them? I guess they are to busy trying to hype the brand with these big name signings and secret new boats. I hope they realize real soon the quality control needs to come up because all the "buzz" in the world doesn't help people who have already purchased these boats.

They stand behind them 100% until you get deep cracks in your gel coat after 50 hours of use and they just say sorry there is nothing we can do. You must have hit something. Even when there is no obvious sign of hitting anything and you know that you have never hit anything. I have noticed a few more after using it this summer. I guess I must have hit something again. Gets frustrating. If these boats didn't cost so much money I would have sold it and bought something different. Stuck with it for a while but at least I can take Tige of the list when I go to purchase my next one.

Tige is doing a good job of having customers cross them off from the list for there next purchase. I have met many people that will not go back to a tige after the problems they have had on 2012 and 2013 boats. It was issues , I had with doing warranty on Nautiques that would keep me from ever buying or reccomending them , I got tired of replaceing guages , gateways, bad ballast systems had to replume, cooling system design problems and worst I had was blistering hulls and they wouldnt do anything about it , not even attempt to fix , also vynle issues, you couldnt give me one, I got tired of mine failing .

Have a pic of your backets? I find it hard to believe they would send out the wrong brackets when they have already sent out the correct ones to all of us that had the wrong ones. The correct brackets have no arches where they weld to the plate.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

You should try to get a marine surveyor or reputable fiberglass expert look at the gel coat cracks to determine if it was a manufacturing defect or some other cause. I know the Tige warranty specifically says they do NOT cover gelcoat but it's worth a shot. From what I've heard Tige only recognizes the need for new brackets on the Z3 and Z1, anything else and you need to raise a fuss for them to send a new one. Not sure that has anything to do with the problem, but I also find it really hard to believe they used an old bracket for your 2014. Not saying they didn't I just don't understand how that could slip by? It's like accidentally installing a PCM instead of Indmar this year. "Oops! Looks like we used a leftover PCM lol

well then obviously you havent been in any recent Nautique boats, by far second to none best quality built boats in the market. Im glad you guys have had luck with Tige boats but around here No one will touch a Tige any longer. Build quality is terrible, and the lack of quality control is sad. After what I dealt with my 2012 Tige, as well as a buddies 13 Z1 you will not see me say a good thing about a Tige....They Surf great when running, besides that they are a low quality built boat.

I think his point is that all boats have issues and the grass is not always greener on the more expensive side. Boats are low production number hand built custom machines, no boat brand is immune from issues, and that's clearly evident on WW, Bu crew, but not so much on team talk, hmmm.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

I bought the boat brand new in 2012. It was a year old hold over on the lot. Tried dealing with it after only owning the boat for about 4 months. The answer I got was sorry, you must have hit something. They are not blisters and not little hairline cracks. These are cracks that are very noticeable and that you can snag your finger nails on if you run your fingers over them. They are on the top deck near the back just above the rub rail. I read the warranty and understand their policy of not covering gel coat. This seems like something was wrong right from manufacturing though. Like gel coat too thin or not enough support behind it. I don't know, I am far from an expert on gel coat. As far as hiring an expert to look at it and fix it. I will probably have to do that but it won't be to fight with Tige over it. Their warranty policy states that they do not cover gel coat problems. So they don't. I thought maybe the dealer was not really trying because they didn't want to deal with it. But I read the email correspondence myself between them and Tige. After sending a bunch of pictures to Tige the response was, "it looks like this has been hit to cause the cracking. Gelcoat and cracking is excluded from warranty coverage." I know the grass is not always greener on the other side. But if I bought another Tige and had the same problem with no support from the company then it would be my own fault. May as well give another company a shoot at backing their product and see what happens. I already know what I get here. You know what they say. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me".
Sorry to hijack the thread but when someone puts up a comment that Tige backs their product 100% I just have to make people aware that there are some things that do not get covered. Are all boat manufacturers the same? Maybe they are but I cant talk from experience because I have not had to deal with the others.

Your hilarious. Tige used PCM in 2012. Nautique uses PCM. After what I dealt with my 2012 Tige, as well as a buddies 13 Z1 you will not see me say a good thing about a Tige....They Surf great when running, besides that they are a low quality built boat.I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.
