One of my winter projects this year will be a new Bimini Top for my 06 22Ve. I have started my research and was wondering if anyone could put me on the right trail for a bimini like the one on the mastercraft. I really like the extension part and think something like this would be great on our boat.bimini.jpg

Ok without hijacking the thread, here goes: when buying a new boat through the winter I eventually narrowed it down to either the MC X25 or the Z1. I bounced around between the two quite a bit until I knocked my head on their tower for a second time getting into the boat. The tower on the X25 extends quite far back over the rear bench seat with the result that anyone taller than an Oompa-loompa has to bend over backwards to climb down from the sun deck into the boat.Originally posted by sawyer1206 View PostWOW! That is very constructive and most helpful comment!
With two small kids on the boat we also would love more shade but I merely wanted provoke some thought as to the headroom/clearance potential issue. I shall in future refrain from being vague, my sincerest apologies.

I agree with you. I'm 6'2 and in some boats I'm constantly bending over avoiding the "thump" of the head. I think you offer some valuable insight. My boat shopping experience has added a new "must have" to the list.Originally posted by Bogdog View PostOk without hijacking the thread, here goes: when buying a new boat through the winter I eventually narrowed it down to either the MC X25 or the Z1.
