Just move to Des Moines IA and went to sayloville Lake and i hated it. It was so windy and the water was choppy. Does anyone know any good lakes to go to in the Des Moines area to wake board. Or do I have to suck it up and stick with saylorville

Can always make the 4 hour trip to Okoboji we never disappoint, unless your trying to wakeboard on sunday afternoon. I know some people in the Ames/Ankeny/DSM area that go to storm lake. I have never asked them what they prefer, but they don't complain.

Buy a Kite and Kitesurf on the days you have wind!

Rathbun lake! It is a little south of Des Moines. That's where we board and hang out. The water there is so much smoother and way cleaner than Saylorville. It's worth the little bit of a drive.
