It took me about 4 hrs. I was ready to rock though. Fresh off my stereo install and 100% ready to slap it all together. I was surprised at how fast it went. I figure if you are just starting, it would take around six to eight hours. That would be taking your time though. Like I said, I banged it out like I was on the clock.Originally posted by Nixby View Postmines not in yet, its supposed to hit 80 here this week... I can't wait. Any idea on how long it might take to install? You'll get your chance, smart guy.

This was the worst part of the instructions. There's now way I was going to mount it to a water hose. Ya, no. Here's what I did instead. If for some reason it doesn't work out where its at, I have a bracket that I will use to mount it on the front of the motor. It's a good alternate location but, I like this one a lot better. It seems to work just fine but, I haven't put it on the water yet.Originally posted by Ruger761 View PostTeamAllen or Nickypoo will one of you take pic of where you mounted the throttle conrtoler and linkage? PP is my next spring project so might as well get the information that I can on it.
ThanksYou'll get your chance, smart guy.

Mine is factory stock except the usual replacement items. I wipe the dust off of it a few times a year with baby wipes. They are pretty easy to keep clean if you stay on top of it. I've been fortunate to have been the keeper of this one since '01. Thanks for noticing though. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Wow, I'm the 3rd owner of mine and I got it last spring... I havent had any major issues with it, but there's a significant amount of surface rust (screws clamps, bolts, etc...). I put 200+ hours on it last summer in brackish water and that didnt help things much either. Looks like I have my weekend's work cut out for me...

Ah. No saltwater for my boat. I've got a really cool lake 30min from my driveway but, I never go there because of the alkali content. I'll gladly spend an extra 15 min driving to boat in fresh water. Some people aren't lucky enough to have that option so I take advantage of it and try to remain thankful of it.Originally posted by Nixby View PostWow, I'm the 3rd owner of mine and I got it last spring...
