Fresh air exhaust finish :plated vs powder coated

I would like all of your opinion on something. I would like to know if you think on the fresh air exhaust that the electro plate finish is worth the additional $80 or should I go with the powder coat finish?

My powder coated fae started to peal after one season. So I would opt for the plate finish if I had to do it all over again.

My powder coat has peeled as well. Go Polished!
Here was an earlier poll thread on the subject.

I have had the polished for two years and like it. Glad I went that way. Part of the reason I went that way was because of all the people that I read on here where the powder coat had peeled.

This forum is awesome, thanks for all your help. Definitely going with the polished and I believe I will go with the quick release because I do take my deck off from time to time.

I do have the quick release. I keep my boat in the garage so every time I pull it out and put it back I have to take the deck off or put it on.

I have the powder coat, no issues yet (knock on wood). I also bought the quick release and have had mine off a hand full of times- worth it. I don't have the flappers, so can't help ya there.

I am in the group with the peeling powder coat after 2 seasons. Wish I had opted for the polished. FAE are you listening??
