NO Convex VX for older RZ2's

Just called my dealer and they called tige national about a CVX for my 2007 RZ2. After the local dealer figured out what the heck a CVX was, they told me that Tige national said NOPE. No CVX's for my boat...... Assuming I fabricate one for my boat, anyone know what difference it will make? I have maxed out my water ballast in a good way, but would be interested in making modifications for surfing if it will make a positive difference.

It would work, you would need a new platform and platform brackets on the transom. It would be $$$.

What I heard over the weekend at the boat show was on older Tige's you would need a new platform and brackets and you would have to glass in the holes that the old platform brackets left in the transom. So definitely spendy to make it happen.

Just build a wave flap, similar affect for a few hundred dollars. My wave is as clean or cleaner then the convex vx and my flap cost me maybe 200.

Also, if Tige is willing to sell the basic device as a standalone to existing boat owners, I'll bet some enterprising individual on here with metalworking skills can come up with a mounting system for older models. Consider how FAE's are adapted to various hull and transom styles... just because Tige doesn't want to do it doesn't mean it can't be done.

its will mount to the old brackets BUT.. The old brackets are POS and break all on there own... The added weight and pressure will snap the old pot cast brackets. I went through a set and added nothing and they broke..

Very interested to see what you have come up with. Im still rocking my flap but after riding the vx it might be time for a new project.

Patience is a virtue ... that said, is "a bit" in time for this coming season (~May)?

Otherwise, I need to get a flap going.
