Clearly it depends on the options but $85k seems to be a good median number. There are plenty of 2012's out there that can be had for less but I guess it depends on what you want. The only way to really know what your best price is, would be to start working with a dealer. There are a ton of factors and what someone else considers to be a good deal, may not be a good deal for you and/or your dealer.Originally posted by bmoorewiz View Post85,000

Why are people always so afraid to talk Candidly about prices of boats?
This is a discussion forum for Tige Owners... we've all bought one, what's wrong with sharing the info?
I'm in Canada... Calgary, AB
I had to pay a pretty penny for my Z3, but got fantastic trade value on my 2009 Xstar
Realistically (vs Realistic Retail on the X Star) I paid about $99,000 for the 2012 Z3 New. With Pretty much every conceivable Option (except second set of speakers, which i found got in the way of headroom)
Not the best deal, but I was pretty limited on which dealer i could work with, since they don't manage warranty very well out here.
LOVE THE BOAT
Best $99k I've spent in a while!

I guess that is how they get the price they want by using the warranty as a bargining chip. How come you can buy a Ford, Chevy, Dodge or any other vehicle and take it to any dealer for warranty work. You spend twice as much on a boat and a dealer can tell you he is not touching it because you never bought it off him. Shouldn't Tige be able to talk to their dealers and help a guy out. As far as I am concerned that dealer is not doing much for Tige's name by operating like this. Just my 2 cents. Nice boat by the way!!Originally posted by artvandelay View PostTHANK YOU

I was looking at buying in Alberta to save the tax and talked to Hyperactive Watersports. When I asked them if the 360service would be valid in my town they said I would have to make those arrangements with the local dealer. I don't get why it wouldn't be honored.Originally posted by artvandelay View PostTHANK YOU

I guess it boils down to what is best for the dealer vs. what is best for the consumer. Tige doesn't sell boats to consumers, dealers do. So if corporate is smart, they take care of their dealers. That doesn't always work out best for us consumers, but it keeps the dealers in business, and without a dealer, we wouldn't have a Tige to buy.Originally posted by lorney View PostI guess that is how they get the price they want by using the warranty as a bargining chip. I don't pretend to understand it, and I have had a hard time believing it, but I hear over and over from dealers that they need to sell boats to stay in business. They find it extremely difficult to stay in business just doing service. So if everyone goes and buys boats outside of their local dealers, then you won't have a local dealer to take it to for very long. That is just what I hear from many different dealers, so don't shoot the messenger.
Be excellent to one another.
