If your truck doesn't have a rear diff breather I'd recommend taking a look at your rear diff fluid.Comment

I'm thinking that I'm going to get the front and rear diff fluid changed this week. Basically, the boat ramp sucked(you have to physically lift your boat off of the trailer and push it out 50' before engaging) and I've launched/retrieved off of the beach at this lake many times over the last 5 years so I decided to give it a go. I drove 750' across the beach with no problems, backed the truck in and it just sank. It actually got high centered in the front on the skid plate with only 1/2 of the rear diff in the water. Once I inspected it on land, oil pan was dry, transfer case was dry, etc - no water on them or anything due to the skid plate stopping it from sinking further in (as designed I suppose).Originally posted by Joeprunc View PostComment
