Is your 2" ball rated 8000 lb and/or the hitch?
Most 2" balls I've seen are rated 5000 lb.
I found a 2" ball/1" shank that is stamped on top with a 6000 lb rating and use that with our Extreme.
    I've seen in a list a 2" ball 7500 lb/1 1/4" shank, but have not seen an 8000 lb 2" ball.

      Here is what I use:

      Andersen Balls - AM3662
A 2" ball with a 1" diameter x 2-1/8" long shank, the greaseless HardBall has an 8,000-lb towing capacity and makes towing even easier - no grease required.

2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

          I have a 2000 22i with a newer Extreme trailer and I use a 2" ball.
