    Coast Guard sticker

I bought my 97 Pre 2150 a few months ago and I knew the seating capaicyt based off specs online. But unlike my boats in the past it doesnt have the Coast Guard sticker anywhere on it that I can find that shows the capacity. Anyone have any ideas or did they just not put them on these models?

Thats where they normally are but its not there. It has one sticker under the cushion by the glove box that is a US Coast Guard sticker but has no capacity or weight limits on it.

I was reading online that only boats 20ft and under are required to have the capacity sticker. Can anyone confirm that is true?

My understanding that all boats are required one unless it's "yacht certified".

Bottom line here is Tige was very inconsistent when it came to placing the capacity ratings. My 2003 21i did not have one.

Another thing is, I have no idea what the logic is to determining the capacity on those plates. My 2008 Response LXI (20'6") is rated for 9 but my cousins 2004 Supra Comp LTS (19' 11.5") is rated fro 10?

If you actually look at that rating sticker it's from a trade organization not the coast guard. My bro's 2012 MB doesn't have one of those stickers because MB is not a member of that trade organization. I can't remember the name of the organization right now.

I have read that as well. Also see Bruizza's comment which I believe is true as well. I think it's the NMMA that issues those.

I am not sure about that one. My '99 21v does not have one, but my 18' bass boat does, and my fathers 26' chaparral cruiser (which is technically considered a yacht being 26' and over) does. I was under the impression that all boats needed this?

Correction - his boat is only 24' so disregard that

I emailed the OK Hwy Partol Office who takes care of our lakes to ask them. I was pushing it this weekend with 11 in the boat and just knew Id get pulled over and that is normally one of their first questions along with life jackets. My brothers 2001 20i has it right on they pylon.
