My new Tuge 22ve has proven to be more difficult to trailer then my old I/O. On my previous Four Winns boat I would back the trailer into the water leaving the front bunks about 12" exposed and would glide right up and would be centered on the trailer every time. Well, it seems the Tige trailer is alot more difficult to get the boat centered and I am looking for advise. I have expiermented with different trailer depths and havent found anything that works constistently. How much of the trailer do you leave exposed? How do you make sure it is centered?

X2, I also back the trailer in far enough to submerge the bunks completely, then pull out to where Timmy said. It seems like they load a bit smoother with wet bunks.Originally posted by Timmy! My boat seems to "self center" when I pull it on. l have a buddy that has a different boat and trailer and he puts the fenders under and the back end is still floating a little bit so he holds on to a guide post and kind of centers it and has me pull the truck out slowly while he gets the boat where he wants it.

I did this with my bu and a boatmate...mine didn't center nice at all. I just had the rz out and I had the trailer in so about 12 in of the forward center bunks were out...boat loaded nice and was perfectly centered. Maybe it's the design of the Chines and hull of the boat that does the centering?

I was thinking it had a lot to do with the hull and chines. I weigh around 200lbs and my son tells me the boat leans to my side quite a bit while trailering, and my side is the side I can't seem to get over far enough to get her centered. I think next time loading I will get her straight on the trailer, back it down in the water a little more and the pull out real slow. We will see how that goes.Originally posted by 2thdoc01 View PostI did this with my bu and a boatmate...mine didn't center nice at all. X2 Shirley centers the boat while i'm pulling the boat out the water and up the ramp.We back the trailer in till the front bunks are about a inch or two under water. That way you can idle off the trailer. When loading we repeat the process idling on the trailer. If it's windy i leave 4-6" of front bunks out of the water and Shirley drives the boat on about 3 to 5 mph.Originally posted by Timmy!
