If it is a verifiable product flaw or failure it should be fixed. If it's an abuse or misuse issue then don't fix it. Always just seems like a weaselly way out of taking responsibility.

I agree 800% if your proud of your product you would gladly warranty it till said date and they would be amazed how much more good talk you get about your product and be amazed how much more business that draws you.. I mean used boat owners talk to friends and so many people about there boat.. Just what you want is a guy with your used boat that is under warranty but second or third owner telling his friend whos in the market how much he spent fixing little things.. That guys probably gonna look into other boats just because what he has herd.. I know I would.. If I would have bought something else if this thread and all these issues where posted up when i was in the market for my new 70k+ purshace I just made...My wife just the other day said maybe we should have bought the new malibu..Even tho maybe they have just as many issues our money probably would have went to one of them! She even said they have much nicer windows lol but she didnt like how shallow they felt inside!

We may LOVE our boats but this is the 21st century.

The millennials are a whole new generation unlike us baby boomers. They will speak up, speak out and use social networking that will put the fear into "any" institution or manufacturer who dares cross the line. A great example and the most recent is the Bank-of-America stunt of attempting to place a charge on debit use. Who said no? A hand full of Millennials said no, and did something. Then took Facebook and social media by the horns and Bank of America did a back peddle. Where were the baby boomers?
    (I'll refrain)

It is my opinion that the Millenials will be the next great generation that will reform American back to a powerful middle class and restore true democracy to the US.

For us baby boomers, we're to concerned about ourselves, our nest egg, and too afraid to speak out. We typically don't give a hoot about our neighbors welfare. We will kowtow to large corporations and institutions, but the Millenials will flip the almighty bird and take a stand for whats right.

This was a perfect example. The boat owners true beef was about factory quality, then secondly the dealer.

The boat owner got a response from the President of Tige to correct the issues, but it seems the main issue of mfg quality was skirted IMO.

The customer just spend $85K. In my book the customer is always right regardless of the approach style.

This thread is a GREAT example of how one person can get the attention of a manufacturer with gross sales exceeding 40 mil.

    Good job!!!! Bravo!!!!

I hope others follow your example, and I'm SURE others will not agree but that's what makes this board entertaining and enjoyable.
Anyone can figrue out true cost of building a boat witch is much cheaper than a car and figure out there making good money on every boat sold.. Right now there climbing and almost on top but its the small things that are going to knock them back down IF they dont correct them!!!!!

IF tige where to send out a letter and plaster it all over WE STAND BEHING OUR BOATS AND WILL FULLFILL THE WARRANTY TILL IT REACHS THE END DATE NO MATTER WHO OWNS IT BECAUSE WE TAKE PRIDE IN OUR PRODUCT AND BELIEVE ITS THE BEST AND WILL STAND BEHIND IT! That right there would probably boost there sales alone!

Example ATS diesel Used to warranty there transmissions the same as everyone else 3yr36,000 miles. They decided he we are the best at this lets prove it to people and lets make sure we are the best and put a 5r,500k warranty on em... There sales TRIPPLED over the prevous year.. Think about it! Saying your the best and proving it is another story! Stand behind your product and be proud of it and sales will follow it greatly!

I hope Tige and the dealership make things right for you, and you get out on the water with a smile.

[QUOTE= IMO, when you don't give the dealer/mfr a legitimate chance to fix the issue and just post up videos, you are only souring any relationship that you had with them. I kind of agree with Robert, you would want your own customers to work things out with you before telling the world.[/QUOTE]

I told them that I was posting the videos....Im not ripping on my dealer at this point.....I did so to see if anyone else had this issue, and if so what was done. As I said, these guys are a biiiiig dealership with 4 states and a few dealerships, but their first spring with Tige. So they dont have the experience with this brand to draw off of...thats why i wanted input from all you guys.

    How I would handle it?...

I would offer me something to rectify the empty tank of gas and the filthy boat...although they did apologize....but still. My new cars and trucks all come full of fuel and spotless.

I would take the hatch off another boat and try it in mine to see if it made a difference. They actually have another white hulled rz2 in the showroom.

I would ask tige if this has been an issue in the past...if not...send another white hatch. If it has been an issue...tell me what solves it.

If I were Tige and it was something we see...id have the guys in the factory glass the crap out of that area and use another (3rd) set of hinges to support the weight.

Id also look to find away to secure the hatch in such a way to be able to open it as needed.

    my .02
