Is there anyone that can shed some light on the different brands of materail for boat covers. Sunbrella is what mostly everyone has told to use. But I hear good things about Top Gun. For spending almost a thousand bucks for a cover I want to make a good decision. Thanks

On the Malibu owners website, the only real guy that gets any press is Corey at Evolution covers. The cover can stay on while traveling, and the customer service is top notch. I do not own one, but if I were to need one, that is who I would call.Originally posted by ereed969 View PostIs there anyone that can shed some light on the different brands of materail for boat covers. Here is Florida where the climate is hot and humid, it's very common to see total-over covers. Especially with expensive fishing boats, these total-over covers will cost upwards of $4K to build on big boats, but the investment pays off 6 years down the road. For us, the interior stays new, the elements stay off our tower, bimini, and our speakers, and the mildew is negligible. The other covers never allowed the boat to dry out. Wet all summer long.Originally posted by gcombe74 View Postfor the cost of the sunbrella material.. an RV might have been less.. LOL

The other upside is being able to go inside and work on the boat anytime you want. Clean up, check on things from time to time. Do a little insect control...you get the drift.
If you store your boat outside and plan to keep your boat 10+ years, your going to pay one way or the other.
This cover came with zip on side skirts, fender well covers, spare tire cover for $2400.00. It took one bolt of material which cost about $1200.00+ to buy today.
Soon the boat will be repainted and the side skirts will come in real handy keeping the FL sun off the finish.
