Registration Numbers Placement

Does anyone have pics of their registration numbers on a pickle fork bow. I have a new R20 and just got my registration numbers in from 3D Letters, but I don't really know where the best looking surface would be to place them. Thanks!

I went above the rub rail, just forward of the windshield:

I think in Utah, they have to be below the rubrail for some reason, so check your state regulations to be sure that is OK.

But I ordered domed letters in chrome to match the tige logo on the stern a little better than the black script because the local johnny law didn't like the script. They will go where the script is, I think.

Custom letters up front below the rub rail. Looking at this older pic reminds me how glad I am we are now on a lake rather than the river!

Depending on your state, or lake, they will also get your for something they deem non readable from a distance.

PA says anywhere on the front half of the boat, no mention of rub rail. That is a state by state requirement. And the block letter requirement comes from the USCG recommendation of 3" block letters, which many states adopt as their standard.

I just shoot for aesthetics. The RZs do have that little area above the rubrail that actually works and looks pretty good for numbers. I just think they look better below. The best looking ones on here IMO are Timmy's. That's proper.

Thanks! They are a little on the big side though. When I had him make them, I was afraid that they would be small and then I would get pulled over all of the time.

I agree, I was trying for aesthetics with my script letters that matched the font of the RZ in the graphics, but the police didn't like that. I knew it was not "legal" but I had to try, I only got a warning. I'm going to try with chrome domed letters in the same area, hopefully it matches the tige chrome decal and looks good. If not I'll try something else somewhere else.

They do look awesome (very nice font and color ). But Timmy also has graphics more conducive to such great placement.
