There's more then enough room to back-load a completed sub enclosure to the back side of the under helm wall and have the sub radiating directly out into the cabin. The RZ's are easy.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

MXZ is an easy sub installOriginally posted by Timmy! View PostHey tnvolgrad, how's your MXZ search going?

a VLX is a little tighter due to steering cable running right across the space

Heres a pair of Wet Sounds XS-10fa's in a 22Ve with the XS-650 relocated

XS- 12 in kick pannel
Here is a picture of my XS-12 we put in my 2012 RZR.
We moved the fuses and the computers up as high as we could on the kick panel. Then cut a HUGE hole in the kick panel into the storage compartment. Slid the ported box through the hole and build a trim panel to make it look clean!!
Sounds awesome!

The SX-10Fa is a great sounding infinite-baffle sub...probably one of the best ive heard. The key is to us it correctly. You need total front/back isolation with the cone radiating out into the cabin and the backside in a closed locker. Done right, they are nice for complimenting 4-6 moderately powered in-boats. They work great where budget or space is a concern.Originally posted by patryk View PostHow do the wet sounds free air subs sound? I was thinking of maybe doing those instead of a W3 but I was worried there wouldn't be enough bass. My brother has 2 JL free airs on his boat and they sound really poppy
If you have the room and are willing to tackle (or have your local installed build your custom enclosure), a sub in an enclosure will trump an infinite-baffle any day.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Lot's of mixed reviews on it - kind of like the Z3 there is simply little information out on it. The smart thing to do is wait and see how users respond to both models - I am really hesitent to be a test subject on a $85K+ purchase. There was a pretty big revision to Z3 prior to production (removed the chine) and I have not seen or heard anything on the performance since the revision. I am sure RagBoy will have it all dialed in and provide some insightful information on his new Z3.Originally posted by Timmy! View PostHey tnvolgrad, how's your MXZ search going?
After combing through both boats - Tige certainly wins from a features and benefits standpoint. I like both boats and this will probably be the last boat that I purchase so it makes it even more difficult. My wife has told me to find more boat buddies beacuse she is sooooo tired about hearing about boats -
I am sure they will learn what works and what does not on both models, but I think I have talked myself out of both for this season. Not too mention I heard the lead-time is 8-10+ weeks and growing on the Z3 (only one mold).

I will be happy to give you a surf review.Originally posted by tnvolgrad View PostLot's of mixed reviews on it - kind of like the Z3 there is simply little information out on it. Sawzall to cut the holeOriginally posted by patryk View PostDoes anyone have a write up and pics of how they cut the helm wall, and how they built their box?

3/4" birch with a double face covered in Resin

Finished with a carpeted trim plate.

This was my first install. After figuring the box size it took about 1 hour to cut and put together, followed by a couple coats of resin and carpet.
