Can anyone tell me what this gauge is for? It is blank and appears to have no use but when replacing my stereo remote I noticed the power for it runs to the back of this gauge. There are several other wires there as well. I am having an issue with the remote as there is no power. So I am wonder why it runs trough this. Maybe its bad?

it is in the place my clock originally was. Others I have seen were where their depth finder was. Do you have a transducer for a depth finder?Comment

It's just a dummy where you can mount any aftermarket gauge.Comment

Moved2ski is right; this is just a dummy gauge. The wires that you found on the back of that empty gauge are the power and ground that are daisy chained in sequence for the whole gauge cluster. So that should not be your problem.Originally posted by moved2ski View Post
I would suspect that you might have a problem with a loose connection or corrosion build up going to your remote. I would check both power and gound circuits to your remote first.Comment
