I believe he is moving to either get a better view or shift weight. On there Facebook page they claim stock ballast was only half full. I think they claimed there was something like 1600 pounds of ballast in the boat.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostI re watched it showing my wife and it looks like the guy at the beginning is moving over to hide the sac from the video.
Correction: From their Facebook page "Stock ballast filled to 50% and one 750lb sack in the middle of the boat. Stock ballast is 1600lbs. So in total, 1550lbs."Last edited by spenchey2; 09-22-2011, 10:30 PM.

There would be no way that MC is going to plumb 5k in an xstar and sell it straight from the factory and not get law suits once some on dunks the bow and sinks it because they don't know how to drive a weighted boat. Other than that, I'm sure they're are regulations on what they can ship it with from the factory. Rather, they put in the plumbing for what ever you want and make it your own risk. Thats where you get their plug and play (what ever its called) system.Originally posted by Timmy! View PostNo way. MB, Epic and Tige are all offering much larger ballast systems than MC.

So that the sac is not in the walkway. If you are talking about numbers that don't include the sac why didn't they just show that wake? It is possible the can get the same weight but it is in the wrong places.Originally posted by spenchey2 View PostAnd if those numbers from their Facebook page are true, why would they need to plumb in more weight then what they have already. That wake is massive!

I'll second that. Too much 'crapola'. I like a clean sunpad and don't need no stinkin' walk through..plus this color is meh
That wake looks fake long. He's pulling as hard as he can to 'tip' the boat and fatten the wave..plus what boat puts out a 50 foot rideable wake. Must be the oil tanker that they rented
my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

While I'm up in the air over this particular X-Star I'm going to go against all you guys with the "too much chit to break" syndrome.
Honestly, how many of you have touch screen nav units in your vehicles?
How many of you have those fancy push button latch mechanisms on your SUV back doors, or minivan side doors?
How many of you have all that chit and look down on the "keepin' it simple" trucks and minivans out there with cloth seats and crank windows and brag about your "keepin' it simple" boat?
I get all you guys' point, but do you really think these boat manf. didn't go over this technology first? Do you all think they developed this technology? They didn't, just like 99% of the boat, it's all purchased stuff that is proven which they adapted to the boats.
Just sayin'Waiting for another good one!

Also 8 years of development helps justify the price.
