Well it should be easy, 30 mins to take the FAE off and test to see if "power" increased. I suspect a very small amount of drag is caused by the FAE but I really doubt "power" is reduce when the boat is moving in water. If tested on land with FAE on, then with out the venturi affect happening, "power" might then be reduced. Then we would be talking automotive engine similarities.

Again, just my 2cents, most of all, hope you find a great solution to your issues so you can enjoy the coming summer.

It just seems like you are down on power for some reason. Have you checked the fuel filter since your last issue? You said before you were running ~43mph. That's pretty good for a small block 24'er at Tahoe. Are you still getting 43 out of it?

I honestly can't see an FAE being a deal killer bro.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I've not checked the fuel filter. The engine runs too good for me to think its clogged. Im not sure about the speed since the speedo is way off. I might be getting 41/42 at the most..my best guess right. now. It's slow out of the hole..gutless but once on plane it will make it to speed

for the person interested in the boat who PM'd me the the hours is 75 and if you walk up to me with 35 it's yours. There's an 05' 23 Enzo in mint shape near here (a couple hours drive) with 110 hours for 36. That might be my next boat.

What's the next size down from 1235? I might reprop (again) and if so the 1235 will be for sale

I would contact acme. The enzo most likely has the 330hp motor? It will not be nearly as strong as the 340hp motor you have. The biggest issue is torque. The 340hp motor is higher torque then the 330 black scorpion. Are you putting taps down when getting on plane? I leave my at like 2-4 most of the time. Taps brings the nose down and really helps performance. Is the enzo a 230 or a 240?

I use the trim tab alot'. It helps a bit on rough water to and from the calm coves. Still the boat doesn't do well once the rough water comes up..even with the trim tab cranked. That helps but still its a shallow v and bow slams pretty good. Not that it really matters cause the boat is really only for surf' but I thought it would be alot better in chop

I'm wondering if the prop guy who sold it to me doesnt have the next pitch down...OR ideally the prop place in RENO has it and I could do a quick swap. SIERRA PROP in Reno..he's got all kinds of used props he refurbishes and he's good at what he does (for the last 25 years) real good

            Enzo is a 230

I have been on an enzo, avalanche and my tige 24v (+many more). Tige 24v is just about as good as the enzo in chop. I leave the bow ballast full to help keep the nose down. Email Bill Weeks. Don't listen to anyone but him. But with more extreme prop you will lose top end.

you say your running a 1579? Why the hell aren't I...good question haha. I was told by several peeps that a 1235 would do the trick at this altitude and a ton of ballast. NOT. I need to reprop. I guess I'll leave the FAE on till the new prop

I hear ya Duff about the TIGE in ruff water but I'm still having a hard time believing a Centurion DEEP V isn't smoother..You've had both so you know but just looking at the stern on an Enzo it's looks to be a 20% dead rise

They are honestly super similar in rough water. They will never beat a deep v- IO because of the prop attitude control.

That right there says to me "wrong prop". I would imagine that boat running 37-38 WOT up there.

C'mon man, don't give up yet. You've seen Duff's. Its in there and it gots to come out. Give that bad boy a chance to Boogie Woggie.

Acme was busy so I called Jason at Wakemakers/Props. He's now telling me at my elevation even a 1579 won't be enuf. He says either the 1615 (14.5") or a 1619 (13.5"). Both are 13.75 pitch. The 1619 is a bit cheaper since it's smaller.

Sooo the 1235 is officially 4 SALE. Mint with 4 hours on it. I paid boo coo... Someone give me 400 hundred and it's gone ...*priority mail packed in tons of bubble wrap

ok maybe the 1235 isn't for sale

..that is if I can have my spare 537 repitched to 1619 specs with a .105 cup possibly. I guess this is possible and would save me mucho dinero + leave me with the 1235 as a great spare
