That's because you have 19,000 lbs of ballast.

All boat fuel gauges lie! Plus you want the weight of the fuel for surfing. I have ran out of gas 3 times and it will never happen again. I fill up no matter what! On the trailer you can get another 7-10 gallons of fuel in it because of how the boat sits.

Keep your prop, if you have a power issue then worry about it

yep I'm not runnin out to buy another prop on the recomondation of a Bastardcrap mechanic...although he did admit he thinks Mastercraft are cheep overpriced POS'

            Damn gauge.

I guess I'll still change out the Fuel filter/seperator too. It's got 74 hours but who knows how long the boat sat or whatever. Better to start with a fresh filter

Fill out this and send it to ACME. They are the pros!

Usually its good to change out the fuel separator (or drain it if you have the fancy one) after running your first tank of gas in the spring. They can be a bitch to pull off I'd recommend a fuel filter wrench to help.

As far as fuel I like to calculate a rough estimate gal per hour that way I have a better idea of how accurate the gauge is. But if you are tubing with fearless teenagers all that calculation goes out the window.

                    haha you guys so funny

So I got some stabil...20 gallons of 87 and rowed out there. I hit it with a bit of starting fluid and it fired right up.Idled fine and ran out clean...no misses...doh...

.damn gauge..I guess I'll have to keep a few gallons in there from now on. I'd swear that thing was 'bobbin'..

Here's sticker shock for you> $6.85 a gallon at the Tahoe City Marina...fkrs! I think I'm gettin more gas cans OR a couple of those jerry cans I see offroaders using...cause 6 fricken 80 is just immoral

Glad it worked out for ya dude. I've had that happen. I wasn't empty but, I was getting close and on my way back to the beach and trying to sqeeze in one more surf ride. Oops. I fill up everytime out regardless. Of course, I have the "luxury" of not having my boat on a bouy at Tahoe.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Oh yea... Lucky for Tige it was just a crumy fuel gauge issue too.

Tahoe gas station owners are thiefs..always have been and always will be.

Every chance I get I fill up in RENO. It's like 3.65..go an hour away to the Lake and it's 4.27..

Then you have the Marinas. Those guys are outright crooks

I have never seen a gelcoated boat that doesn't blister if left in the water all year. I dont believe it's just a tige issue.
