Aerial Tower?

For me I used the same bow holes from the factory tower. On my boat if I mounted the aft section up top the leg plate would not have contacted enough fiber glass so I mounted the aft section on the side. And picked the side location that made the rails follow the windshield line the best.
The instructions it came with are not the best. For me installing it was not super difficult. But I do all my own boat maintenance/repair. I am a BMW master tech so after working on complicated cars all day the boat is simple.

I have no idea what your budget is but when I totaled my Tige E-Series tower my insurance covered a Samson Razor Upgrade. Once I adjusted the bimini it was rattle free, no wobble and was easy to raise and lower for 1 adult with a pair of Pro60's on it. Great looking tower but expensive. Everything about the tower is top notch.

Mounting the way you did looks a lot friendlier as far as not pulling the front seats. Do you have a storage locker in front on both sides so that you could access the front feet of the tower? Also, did you use the backing kit that Aerial sells or do you make your own?Originally posted by lohe View PostFor me I used the same bow holes from the factory tower. Well, I'm not very impressed with Aerial Airborne. It's very similar the the old Metcrap. Install is actually pretty easy although the directions are joke but, when it came to putting the last leg into the ladder section, it was quite obvious that a poor cut and a good weld turned a round tube into an oval tube. This put the install on full stop. They also didn't ship the light or the one wakeboard rack he ordered. Really, we would have had this done in around 4 hours but, no dice once the leg wasn't going to fit. Lame. We will see how they handle it.Originally posted by NICKYPOO View PostLooks like I'm going to be doing an install of one of these on an older Malibu pretty soon. I'll let you know my impressions when we are done but, not exactly sure when that will be. I've got more projects than time right now.
P.S. - I didn't know they made such thin walled tubing. You'll get your chance, smart guy.
