RZ2 owners

Now that I'm a RZ2 owner I'm asking all you other owners out ther from some advice. Anything I should change, fix, adjust, or look out for?

If you have factory dual batteries I would recommend installing a second shut off switch to kill all the accesories on the house battery too. When I did that I also installed an on-board battery charger, it wasn't too hard, I posted the description and pictures on this thread:

Add 2 feet and make it an RZ4. Bigger is better.

I changed the seat pedestal to a taller one. It makes it easier looking over the dash. Personnel preferance , I guess.

Get with chp and order a custom sac. Go to ragboy's site, wake9.com and get his Alpha Z surf nubbin. Go to Amazon and order the big CIPA mirror with the ball&socket joint (the factory mirror and expecially its mount is inexcusable). Get some Samson swivel racks. The list could go on and on...

You must be referring to the Alpha Z tower here because the mirror/mount on the tower he has is pretty solid.

One thing that I haven't done yet is add the cup holders on the transom and in front of the windshield like the newer models have, that would be a plus IMO.

Yes on all counts. The lack of a tower mirro option is the only thing I've found that I don't like about the Alpha Z. I didn't know what year he has. I thought I would use the cup holders in the transom more than do. But, now that we have a little one, mayber we will spend more time achored and swimming.

For a Vision Air seat? Any details re what product works to extend pedestal height?

I strongly second Chpthrl's custom surf sacks and Ragboy's surf nubbin!

Fuel flow meter.

Onboard mounted battery tender.

Wetsounds EQ to independently control tower and interior speakers.

Clear transom guard to protect from wakeboard dings.

Acme 1235 prop if you surf.

New Medallion (Speedset) controller for 2009 or earlier.

Clear transom guard sounds awesome. Is sounds kind of like the clear protective coating on my new iPhone screen. Newbs are always leaning back and sending the board right into the boat. If anyone knows of a good product, post it!

I also added an extra pop-up cleat in the middle of the boat, it's a great place to hang a bumper like I did in this photo but it's also good for mooring and/or rafting up.

good call. This is a necessity, since that is by far the widest part of the boat. I use a suction cup fender line.

I ordered 2 extra cleats for my boat also.very helpful in both situations.

I was going to put the cup holders in the transom but didn't notice the newer models had them b the windshield I will look at that thanks timmy

I have the vision air seat and it does seem low. It moves up a couple inches but doesn't stay up I think I need to replace the pedestal so ill look at a taller one thanks rushin
