vasilating between an 04 22v vs 24v

Ok, soon I hope to be a tige owner. But I have been looking over and over and over a 04 22v vs a 24v. Both in very good condition. Difference in price is 2,500. 22v has perfect pass 24v not. Otherwise rest of options same. Hours are very close too. What would you do if you want to surf and wakeboard and maybe occoationally slalom? Pls Help.

not sure you would really slalom on either.

I have heard the 22v has a better wake then the 24v, but if you have a large family or lots of friends I'd get the 24v, my biggest regret was not buying a bigger boat......

The 22 will be easier to get a bigger wake (surfing, wakeboarding) and the smaller ski wake. If you're going to ski once in a while, I would get the 22. Plus it has perfect pass.

well the slalom would be very little if all so that really isn't a factor. But the wake quality is first and foremost important. Also. just over all preformance is important. Every 24v I see doesn't have perfect pass but almost every 22v does. I would think that is telling me the 22v is more for doing the activities regularly but the 24v is more for family and yes you can do the activities but not made for anyone that really wants to do a lot of wake surfing or boarding. Is this wrong to assume?

Perfect Pass is a marriage saver. Set it and forget it whilst your wife is driving while you are skiing/surfing/wboarding, or you set it and tell your wife, "Yes, I'm only pulling the kids at 20.5, not faster."

While I'd normally say bigger is better, unless you can get the buyer to spring for a PerfectPass/TigeSpeed installation, go with the 22.

I'd say that is a fair estimation.

I have never been in a 24V, but I purchased a 2003 22V in May of this year and have raked up about 90 hours so far this summer...Great Boat! Lots of room, I would say 8 adults no problem, handles good and the wake with a couple fatsaks is very good. In all honesty you will be happy with either Tige, so pick one and hit the lake!

Being a boat owner, I bet you have an idea of how badly I want a pull the trigger and get in one and get out there.

Can any one speak on the topic of Cruise Control systems on the 2006 22ve's? I guess Tige puts out their own brand. I didn't know this. I thought there was Perfect Pass and that was about it. Are they all the same basically or is there serious differences - meaning a difference in price for a boat if one boat has one cruise system or another?

I have always thought you should buy the biggest boat you can afford but I'll go against that here and say unless you have a huge family and need the extra seats, I would go with the 22. Perfect pass is huge, and it will be easier to tow, saves gasmoney on the road, "might" fit in your garage or in a smaller storage unit and it should be easier to weight to get nice wakeboard and surf wakes.

I've used it (Tige Speed Set) in my buddy's '06. It's easy to use and holds the selected speed just like it's supposed to. I have heard of some of them having issues but, my experience has been 100% positive.

Thank you all for your help. I am really looking forward to becoming part of the Tige Team. I hope someday I can assist someone as well with thier questions. I think we will be sticking with a 22v or 22ve. I would love to have all the room in a 24v but probably just too big a boat for our use. I really hope I don't eat those words anytime soon. I think we will definetly get the perfect pass or tige speedset in whatever boat we end up getting. Lot less expesive than marriage counselling eh. Thanks again. I do have a question about the 22ve if someone could tell me it would be nice. Are the Sundeck coushins the same size as the 22v's sundeck coushins? I am wondering if they had to make the sundeck slightly smaller to accomadate the activity center where there are lockers and room to sit on the back of the boat. Anyone know that answer to this?

Yes, they are different. There is also a walk through section on the starboard side that is a pull out cushion.

Ok. I know they have the walk through section so I understand the difference there but are the sections shorter? I know they are slightly different in shape but is the actual area of the sundeck area smaller. Or maybe this was already answered but I looking for length from front to back of the cushion vs from side to side if that makes sense. Any more comments pls?
