Sneak Preview: RZR Surf Wake

Its funny, when we go to washington, its centurion country up there, and almost all goofy riders ride backside. Its crazy. At least seems crazy to me.

Could that be due to the port wake being a lot nicer than the starboard wake on the Centurions?

I realize this whole "argument" is my doing. It's just me being a grumpy old man but, I'm not budging. Calling the starboard side the goofy side is profiling and I won't have any part of it.

nnah i wont argue with you haha its no big deal. call it whatever you want, doesnt matter to me. referring to the waves as port/starboard is more specific anyways

Ok, so I guess I need to try riding backside. Often times I'm too lazy to switch over to the starboard side after the wife's done surfing. I always just ride switch.

Any trick to riding backside? (other than lean the other way)

Not everyone up here in Washington has a Centurion Ragboy. We have some Tige's. It has just been a tough couple of years on Tige' dealers up here. We have had 3 different dealers in the 3 years I have had mine. Hopefully the New Lynwood Motoplex can stay with Tige'. They sell Supreme as well and they seem to sell more of those due to price. WIll be interesting to see how their line goes in the next couple years. I am thinking it may be time in a year or two for a RZ2. If the RZ0 can throw a decent enough surf wake I may go that route.

No trick, just ride. You never know, you might like it better. Your body position might be a little more critical as you don't have that extra bit of adjustment you get through controlling your edge with your toes. All your adjustments are transfered through your heels. I've been working on switch as well, just to be better at it. If I get proficient enough at it, it won't matter what side I ride, I can just jump in whenever, regardless of which side is set up. That and you guys won't have to hear me bitch about goofy vs starboard and port vs regular. I'll be uni-wake.

Yeah, I know, Bayliner makes some sick boats! I can't believe they are getting compared to "Tige^" boats. Especially when all 2011 Bayliners come standard with catalytic coverters, no FAE required! They also started adding surf friendly swim platforms and towers are optimal on about half the boats!! Super strong fixed position (no hideaway or "French") boat cleats on that American beauty (assembled in Mexico).

Well a bayliner is the cheap entry level on I/O so I am sure that's what they are trying to say noT build quality or over all finish. More of it's the entry level of inboards.
