Where to get a used tige???

I think im just going to see if what happens with this 20v, and if the price is right ill buy it. Honestly I dont even know if we would ever use ballasts...its our first boat so I guess we can always add fat sacs if the need arises (although it probably will).

Do you guys know approximately how long it takes to fill a sac, in general?

I don't think you will be sorry if you buy a 20v. I just bought some 400lb v drive sacs and haven't filled them yet so I can't give you a time. I have been boarding behind mine for a year without ballast. The wake is pretty good for a beginner with just people weight.

If you get into surfing, like just about all of us have after buying our Tiges Then you will want to add some ballast. A typical sac will take 4-5 minutes to drain/fill.

Yes, thanks. Im trying to stay away from the switch. I dont know much about them at all, but what little research I did told me they made a budget boat thats more affordable. But I didnt like that vinyls were thinner etc???



btw thanks for all the help everyone, its going to be our first boat so I want to make sure we get the right boat (Tige for sure).

howcome? Theres alot of boats with less than 150 hours for sale around here. Im thinking its because of the economy...but im not the expert. Are you thinking the computer got reset?

Im just saying that the boat obviously has not run hardly at all in 4 years. I would rather buy a boat thats in good shape and I know was used on a regular basis because that shows me that it was well taken care of. Just because a boat is low hours doesn't mean it will have less problems.

The biggest problem is that the boat has just been sitting and hardly run for 4 years. How old is that gas in it? Whats the fuel system like? Are the injectors all gummed up? Was it kept in a covered garage? Was it serviced properly? And it raises the question, Why did the owner hardly use it?

Chances are the boat will look immaculate, but how does it perform?

Well it was stored in a garage, and im probably going to have a service done, change of transmission fluid and engine oil. I can always syphon out the old gas and get some fresh gas in it.

Yeah Im not saying its a bad boat. Im just saying that with that low of hours on a 4 year old boat you really want to look over all of the mechanical aspects and put them through their paces.

Too bad mine is too far away in Chicago. It's an 07 20V with just over 40 hours. It is on craiglist chicago.

We like our 20V but I am not in a position where I can keep much longer. We are trying to hold out until July 17th and then I will advertise the heck out of her and look at reasonable offers.
