    Motor Won't Start

2008 5.7 MP. Last year my motor died. misfired/sputtered Tried to get mine started today with no luck. Over the winter, I replaced cap, rotor, fuel filter and HVFP. Spark plugs are fairly new.
When I tested the fuel pressure last year it would only read 5psi. Figured it was the HVFP, so this was replaced.
I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the ignition.
Pretty sure I have spark as it attempts to fire but won't.
Could it be the low pressure fuel pump? Someone said they replaced their PCV valve and it fixed their starting issue.
    Other ideas please.
    Thank you!

Check the basics: fuel pressure at the rail, base timing on the ignition, etc. If those check out, try pouring a SMALL amount of fuel in the throttle body and see if it kicks over. Yes: fuel. No: ignition.

HTH, and have a good one,
    Mike

Bad and old gas is another issue. If you put ethanol in it at the end of the season for sure would be a problem. If you messed with the low-pressure pump or while replacing the filters you could have the wires reversed. I have had each one of the fueling issues on a regular basis. Like Mike said above troubleshoot by putting some gas down the TB. Then I would consider some very new gas too.
