Hello all. Coming back to boating for lots of reasons. Last boat was an I/O, long since sold. I took a poll and it's unanimous. All my adult family want to try surfing. So, based on my research (and budget) I'm looking 2005-2010 first gen wake/surf boats. I have a local possibility for a 2007 Tige RZ2 that looks really clean, long time owner with service records, with 800 hours on a Marine Power 5.7. Any red flags for this model/year? Is there another Tige model/hull in this year range/price point that would be a better choice for surfing, cruising, family time? If you were to start again in my position, what are you looking for?

I had a 2006 20V Tige with the MP 5.7. I was a big fan no major mechanical issues. The MP website is easy to use when ordering service parts. Depending on what's done on the boat Mikes Liquid Audio (MLA) is a great resource for custom bags for that specific boat.
I currently have a 2012 RZ4 and I am a big fan love the added space we have a large family and friends always joining us.

Tige has been an awesome boat for us. Best fuel burn records of all brands during that era. I have a 2007 with the MPI 360Hp engine. We have had np problems with our 2007 24Ve. I have added Mike Liquid audio ballast bags, plumbed in, Added Wet sounds tower speakers amps and equalizer. Has a boatmate trailer. Also has a 4 port heater, great for cool mornings and evenings. And the best part it is for sale. Well taken care of. Just upgraded to a 2020. Message me if anyone is interested.Wake Up or Stay On Shore!
